This is a great running 1997 Evinrude 25 hp bought new in 1999. This is a standard shaft "15, electric start (with battery charger), two-stroke, 115lbs,tiller handle and has the capabilities to convert to a remote steering with remote throttle*. This engine starts very quickly, has perfect compression 125+ PSI on both Cylinders, pumps water excellent, and shifts into gear smoothly. We have fully boat tested this engine and it runs great. It is very smooth and shifts into gear excellent It is very rare find another 25 hp in this clean of condition for what we have this motor priced at.
Why these are great motors? Because you are able to have a motor that is capable of running a small inflatable or a large pontoon boat. The diversity this motor brings are attributed to the fact that there is an exceptional amount of power to weight ratio achieved. For a 115 lbs outboard motor, you can do it all and not weigh your boat down or break your back if you need to transport it.
