This is a real classic in mint freshwater condition. This engine has a very simplistic design making it durable and very easy to work on. This 5.5 hp Fisherman Evinrude outboard has Great COMRESSION, cools great, runs great, starts and performs very well. We have fully boat tested this motor and it runs perfect! The acceleration, idle, and response is perfect on this motor. This 5.5hp has a fuel pump so a modern tank will work. This engine was only used in freshwater and was made when quality prevailed over mass production and economy of scale. This is a short shaft, two stroke, two cylinder, great running outboard motor. Perfect for a small skiff, jon boat, or any watercraft excepting a 15" short shaft 50lbs. outboard.
