THIS ENGINE DOES NOT HAVE A TILLER HANDLE. ONE CAN BE PUT ON IT OR IT CAN BE USED REMOTE. This is a great running 8 hp Mercury long shaft 2-stroke outboard. Compression on this motor was very strong and even. These 8 hp Mercury outboards use the same components as the 9.9-15hp 2-stroke. This engine has plenty of power for it's size as it is a de-tuned version of the larger horse power motors. This motor has a 20" long shaft and only weighs 74lbs which makes it ideal for boating applications that require a light weight powerful engine. This would make an ideal kicker or sailboat engine.
