30 hp Tohatsu Outboard Boat Motor 

Tohatsu 30 hp Outboard Motor. This engine is a 2 stroke, long shaft 20", electric start, remote(have tiller handle kit), two cylinder outboard engine. We took this motor in on trade. Customer informed us that the motor has not been run in several years and will need servicing. We did not run the engine and we are not going to service it so we are going to wholesale it. We checked the compression and it is very strong at around 135 PSI even. The starter works as we were able to test the compression with it. We spun the prop and it appears to slip in forward gear. Without running the engine it is too difficult to state whether or not this motor will need a clutch dog or forward gear. Since this may be a possibility we decided to price it at $350.00 so if worse case scenario it can be fixed and ready to go at a reasonable price. Typically we sell 30 hp long shaft motors of this caliber ready to go for around $1200.00. At $350 this gives plenty of room for someone to get it serviced. Overall the engine is clean inside and has been repainted on the outside.
