This is a 9.8 hp Tohatsu( made by Nissan) 4-stroke long shaft outboard boat motor. This engine has a 20" long shaft which is ideal for larger transoms, kicker brackets, or sailboats. We have fully boat tested this 9.8hp Tohatsu and it runs excellent. This motor has very low hours on it and it was primarily used as a kicker on a center console boat. This Tohatsu has a manual start, tiller handle, weighs 85lbs, and has forward neutral and reverse. Tohatsu makes a great product and we have had lots of success with these engines. If you are in the market for a good running 9.8hp 20" shaft outboard this is the engine. This 9.8hp Tohatsu would make a great motor to use as a kicker, sailboat motor, jon boat motor, skiff engine, or to use on any other water craft that utilizes a 20" long shaft.
