This is a Yamaha 225 hp OX66 EFI outboard boat motor. This engine has a 25" shaft, weighs 494lbs, has oil injection, electronic fuel injection, and power tilt and trim. This engine runs excellent and was fully boat tested. Since this engine has electronic fuel injection it will cold start very easily. EFI outboards tend to get about 20-30% better fuel economy than engines with a carburetor. The OX66 is regarded as one of the best 2-stroke motors in that hp class ever made. Many outboard motor experts regard this engine as being the most reliable outboard motor ever made. The track history on the OX66 far surpasses any 2-stroke v-6 engine. This engine has very strong and even compression .This Yamaha 225hp was completely serviced with new gear lube, water pump, and professionally cleaned fuel injectors. This would make a perfect engine for any bay boat, center console, or skiff that can handle a 200-250 hp outboard. Prop, controls, gauges, oil tank, and harnesses are not included.
