This is a Yamaha 225 hp OX66 EFI outboard boat motor. This engine has a left hand gearcase which means it is a counter rotation engine. It can be used as a single.This engine has a 25" shaft, weighs around 495lbs, has oil injection, electronic fuel injection, and power tilt and trim. This engine runs excellent and was fully boat tested. Since this engine has electronic fuel injection it will cold start very easily. EFI outboards tend to get about 20-30% better fuel economy than engines with a carburetor. The OX66 is regarded as one of the best 2-stroke motors in that hp class ever made. Many outboard motor experts regard this engine as being the most reliable outboard motor ever made. The track history on the OX66 far surpasses any 2-stroke v-6 engine.
